The Women's Chasseur by LeChameau is hand made in France with 100% natural rubber. Natural rubber provides superior resilience and elasticity compared to synthetic rubber, resulting in a more comfortable fit. Besides forming an excellent barrier to water, natural rubber offers a high resistance to wear, cutting, cracking and tearing. These properties are maintained in extreme or cold, making all Le Chameau boots suitable for all 4 seasons. High quality full grain calf leather lining and superior comfort and reliability goes with the name of LeChameau boots. Perfect for hunting, fishing and any outdoor activity. The Chasseur features a full length waterproof zipper exclusive to Le Chameau that runs the entire outside length of the boot. This enables the wearer to easily slide into and out of the boot without the pulling and tugging normally associated with lower quality rubber boots. A waterproof gusset behind the zipper ensures the boot is impermeable at all times and the upper Snap Strap keeps the fit tight in any condition. Due to this innovative design, the Chasseur is also know as The Zipboot in many countries. The Chasseur's dual density rubber sole utilizes a shock absorbent rubber to provide superior comfort walking and hiking on both hard and soft surfaces. The innovative multi directional tread pattern is made for durability and creates a secure grip on all surfaces. The Chasseur also features a removable inner sole.

It's hard to fit Le Chameau boots so I am going to share with you my findings. First a bit about me - I am 5'2", 16" calf circumference, trim ankles, and 8.5 to 9 US feet. I tried the boots on with dress knee high boot socks.I was looking for a simple pair of rain boots. I couldn't try the popular women's Vierzon, Iris, or Air Confort Vierzon because the calf circumference was 15" or smaller. I narrowed my search into the men's version of the Vierzon, Vierzon Nord and Chasseur, and the women's Chassuer. Women's Chasseur - they have made these fit a women's shape so there is no extra room (very fitted). I zipped up until it hit the largest part of my calf and then I couldn't pull anymore.
